Daily Forecast Discussion
The surface front that has been responsible for the unsettled weather the past several days is moving out of the area. However, heights aloft still remain low, and that will allow just enough instability for some isolated showers but most of the time today will be rain free. High pressure builds in tonight and clears us out and gives us a nice mostly sunny day tomorrow. Sunshine to start today on Thursday, then a cold front and upper level through approach in the afternoon with showers and thunderstorms developing. It will be unstable again, so we have to worry about possible strong to severe storms. The front stall’s out to the south just close enough that will have continuing showers and maybe a thunderstorm on Friday, but the air mass will be much more stable and I don’t expect any severe weather from that. Saturday is most likely dry, but there will be a wave of low pressure moving to the south and I can’t rule out some isolated showers as it does so. High pressure brings the sunshine for Sunday and Monday. There will be a weak upper level disturbance moving through to our north on Monday that could bring us a stray shower but it’s also just as likely to remain dry.
