Near-record highs for some areas next 2 days…

Temperatures will significantly increase Thursday and Friday well into the 90s, and high dewpoints will make it feel quite sultry both days. In addition, an unstable environment will lead to scattered strong thunderstorms Thursday evening, and strong t-storms are possible again late Friday with gusty winds and large hail being the primary severe threats.

The hotter temperatures are likely to continue into the weekend, but not quite as humid. We do think that the majority of the weekend is dry, but the next cold front will approach late Sunday or Sunday evening with scattered showers and thunderstorms after a partly cloudy day prior. Early to midweek we will see cooler and slightly below average temperatures in the cold front’s wake, and showers are possible Tuesday.
