Much cooler, unsettled through the holiday weekend…
A cold front will be stalled over our region today, leading to periods of showers and below average temperatures. The front will begin moving back northward as a warm front, and showers in the evening will likely evolve into steadier periods of rain overnight.
Below average temperatures are likely to continue over Memorial Day weekend. Period of rain are likely to continue Saturday and Saturday night, and during this time, 1-2″ of rain will be possible. Showers will continue into Sunday morning, then may take a break for awhile in the afternoon. A similar situation for Memorial Day with showers overnight Sunday night perhaps Monday morning, then mostly cloudy later in the day. Still a risk for an isolated shower on Tuesday as the boundary remains nearby. Wednesday and Thursday we’ll see a progressive increase in sun as the stalled front finally clears, and temperatures warm.
