Record-breaking highs for some next two days... 

Very hot and humid conditions are expected through midweek as strong upper level ridging settles over the region. Highs Monday and Tuesday will be in the upper 90s with heat indices in the 105-110° range.

The ridge will begin to break down midweek, and that will invite isolated to scattered thunderstorms back into the area with diurnally-driven convection along a surface trough Wednesday through the upcoming weekend, with the best chance occurring on Thursday and Saturday. Hot temperatures remain Wednesday, then cooling down a bit late in the week with highs retreating back to the 80s.
