Daily Forecast Discussion

High pressure at the surface and a northwest will provide us with abundant sunshine today with seasonably-warm temperatures. Dew points will be in the upper 50s to lower 60s across most of the region and while that  isn't overly oppressive, you will notice the humidity. Pretty much a repeat performance for Thursday. Though it will be a little bit warmer. For Friday it turns a little more unstable, and a weak disturbance moves by and that could set off a couple of showers and thunderstorms. Then Saturday a stronger wave brings a better chance for showers and maybe a thunderstorm. As we close the weekend and start the work week there'll be a series of weak waves rippling through the flow and that will keep at least the chance for showers with us through the period  with temperatures returning to below- average levels.
