Trough remains in place over next few days rendering it cooler than average, but dry…watching Sunday low closely…

Friday will feature slightly below average temperatures, but not nearly as breezy. As a result, it won’t feel as cool as yesterday was, despite similar temperatures. Mostly clear skies follow overnight, with scattered frost likely in the colder locations.

A chilly start with frost in the morning hours, then mostly sunny skies are expected on Saturday. Sunday will be a bit milder, and we will be watching for the development of Potential Tropical Cyclone #16, which may become a tropical storm in the Gulf. All modeling keeps the remnants well SE of the region on Sunday, but a few showers may reach this area on the far NW fringe. It likely is not an all-day deal and not a washout, and may end up missing altogether. For now, we listed mostly cloudy skies with isolated showers possible. Turning much warmer on Monday and Tuesday, with partly cloudy skies Monday, and increasing clouds with PM showers Tuesday along and ahead of a cold front. That front keeps rain in the picture Tuesday night, then clouds give way to sun on Wednesday with cooler temperatures. Mostly sunny skies on Thursday with near average highs.
