Temperatures closer to seasonal averages this week, with several rain opportunities in the 7-day….

Friday we’ll see a continuation of the showers through the morning hours, then a cloudy break into the afternoon. A line of scattered thunderstorms will move through the region from late afternoon and early evening, and then a few lingering showers thereafter. There could be a few stronger storms with localized heavy rain and damaging winds possible, and we will monitor closely.

The weekend right now looks partly to mostly sunny to start on Saturday, but much cooler and breezy with highs not escaping the 50s, and then mostly cloudy Sunday with mainly afternoon showers possible as another front works its way through. Right now Sunday’s front doesn’t look like much in the precipitation department, but showers nevertheless. Back to sunny to partly cloudy skies and a nice day on Monday. Another frontal boundary will affect the region Monday night with more showers, then clouds Tuesday morning will give way to partly cloudy skies in the afternoon. Another warm front follows right on its heels for Wednesday night, and then periods of rain continue on Thursday with the warm front stalling over the region, and a wave of low pressure moving along that boundary.
